1/4/18 - Today in class we went over procedures, expectations and general classroom information as a way for your child to get acclimated to my class. Tomorrow in class we will begin working with maps, their basic parts and I will be helping students create a study guide for their first in class assessment on Continents and Oceans. The study guide will consist of a lableled world map that identifies all seven continents and five oceans. This assessment will take place NEXT THURSDAY (1/11/17)
1/24/18 - Please note that the original planned unit assessment scheduled for Thursday (1/25/17) has been cancelled. These skills will be assessed within each individual unit and we are going to move on for the sake of time. Please spread the word!!!! We will instead begin looking at Native Americans Cultures and diving into the story of the United States.
1/30/18 - We have spent the past few days looking at Native American culture and their incredible ability to adapt to any enviornment. As we move through this unit, I highly encourage all students to check out the links I have provided and make sure to not miss out on the interactive fun found in the last link of the section.
Tenatively looking at next Wed Feb 7th as the target date for our Unit assessment.
